Growth Chart Ruler
I love this project because it is done better then any other ones available to buy. It's as beautiful as a piece of furniture. With one edge beveled like a real wood rule. Distressed and burnished perfectly to match. The best part of this project is that it will be passed down from one generation to the next. My daughter could hang it in her house someday. We have marked the 4 living grandparents on it. Which include a great-grandma. As my boys grow taller they love to see how close they are getting to passing up Grandma. When uncles or aunts or even cousin's come to visit we mark the Growth Chart Ruler with their name and date. So when they leave they stay apart of our world and conversation.
Someday my son will bring his son to my house and we can measure his height with what his father's height was at his age. It's important to always mark with a painters pen and not a sharpie permanent marker, because if it's facing a window the marker will fade, but a painters pen will last forever if you be careful of no window facing it, directly. I put my around the corner from a window in the kitchen.
They are made out of one solid piece of pine and can be finished dark or light, with your family name. Or you can request any words you would like, maybe "remember who you are" or "stand a little taller." The Growth Chart Ruler is 7 feet tall and hangs 6 inches off the ground giving room for molding. Sold with a painter pen that I buy at local craft store and the hanging wire. Only one nail required to hang anywhere, no stud needed to hang and it will stay accurate for all competitive spirits. I love to build and create. I love to design and invent. I love to improve and strengthen everything and everyone around me. I am a stay at home mom that has raised my children long enough now that they are in school during the day. I now have an opportunity to take that extra time to build a business that I would find joy in. I believe quality supersedes everything else, so with each piece made it is done with the best material and most attention to details I can give it. Details really make any artistic peace stand above the rest. I enjoy all people for who they are and the stories that they are. Things made by hand have a similar story and quality about them.
